Sara started speaking Spanish at 2. (An actual letter received from a MUZZY parent, but names and photo have been changed at her request.) |

“My 2-year-old’s Spanish started like a switch being turned on,” wrote Sara’s mother Virginia. “One day, she spoke English-only, the next day, she was bilingual wit! She is another MUZZY success story…after we started watching MUZZY, my 2-year-old began speaking Spanish.”
“We were at a birthday party when I told her she couldn’t climb a playground ladder while holding a biscuit. She put the biscuit on a table, arched her eyebrows at me and said, ‘No me gustan.’ Then she ran to the slide and tried to stop all the other kids from climbing by shouting, ‘Para! Para!’ at them. Later, she closed up all the windows and doors to a playhouse, telling everyone, “Buenas noches.’ When it was time to leave, where were her sandals? ‘Yo no sé,’ with a big shrug. Fortunately, I have been watching MUZZY too, so I can still understand her.”
“My husband is West African – Nigerian - so his cradle tongue is Euroben. Now that she is speaking so much Spanish, my husband is using his own language with her more. I’ve told people that it’s just amazing what children can learn and use if you start them early on other languages.”
