MUZZY French — "Knowing how to speak with people in their native language breaks down the barriers."

Emily, a university graduate, speaks French and Spanish. She is now in veterinary college.

Emily started with MUZZY French when she was 6. In secondary school, she added Spanish and moved quickly into an accelerated class. Emily told us, “Once you speak one language, adding another is not a big deal.”

When asked why she thought that MUZZY was so effective with kids, Emily responded, “One of the best things about MUZZY is the songs. You never forget the lyrics to your favourite songs.”

“I was a biology major in college so I took a lot of science classes,” Emily said. “But I did take French, and I try to use my languages any chance I get. I lived with a French family one summer and they didn’t speak a word of English. I did fine.

“At a university, you meet people from all over the world. Knowing how to speak with people in their native language breaks down the barriers. I have traveled in Europe and South America, and it’s a lot easier when you can speak to the locals.”
